Description: We use theoretical approaches to gain insight into cell fate decision-making in vivo. We study development and cancer, from the perspective of adult stem cell fate decisions, and how these go awry. We develop new mathematical models and computational tools rooted in dynamical systems theory, statistical inference, and machine learning to discover new biology, in light of the wealth of information we can gain by analyzing high-dimensional, single-cell datasets.
