Issue 179: Organoids are key experimental models, recapitulating important features of human tissues and enabling high throughput experiments. However, interpretation of these experiments is challenging and often limited to manual, non-standardized, and/or qualitative analysis. To address this issue, we have developed an open-source and modular pipeline (OrgDyn) to quantify organoid shape dynamics from time-series of 2D contour images, using a combination of feature- and model-based approaches. Here we show diverging dynamics of organoid morphology simulated by Fourier modes. To find out more, read our paper here.
