Issue 318: In the midst of a grey and cold January arctic vortex, I thought I'd warm things up with a look back at the colourful and creative artwork featured on our 2024 newsletter covers. From the intricate patterns of engineered bacteria colonies (#280) and the fascinating complexity of 3D tumour models (#291, #294, #300), to the thought-provoking pen sketches reflecting on cancer ecosystems across ecosystems (#310) and the elegant spirals of tumour growth visualized in polar coordinates (#298), it's been another incredibly successful year. Working with more than 50 of you we published a total of 35 pieces of artwork! This achievement wouldn't have been possible without the incredible contributions of Sarah Groves, who joined our editorial team this summer (make sure to check out her recent video on how maths can help us to tackle cancer). We already have an exciting lineup of covers planned for 2025 and can't wait to see what creative surprises the year holds! If you're interested in creating something, get in touch. We are always keen for new ideas and are happy to sit down and brainstorm with you.
