Issue 358: The image is showing an artistic representation of a glioblastoma calcium signalling network superposed on two brains. The yellow circles represent the glioblastoma cells and the pink lines represent the tumor microtubes that link cells together. The left image of the brain is showing the three cells initiating the calcium signal (represented by pink glow) and the right image is showing the signal propagation. The initiating cells in the left brain can be interpreted as periodic cells, which are cells that can initiate calcium transients in other cells. The artwork was created in Powerpoint with no external AI tools but did use a royalty free brain schematic as a guide for the brain outline.
