Description: The focus of my research is the systemic response of a host to cancer and its treatment. Specifically, we study cancer under the lens of immunology, aging, and the microbiome, the dynamics of heterogeneous cell populations in cancer progression, the role of the tumour microenvironment in intercellular communication and tumour development, and cancer treatments. We take a complex systems approach that integrates experimental data with mathematical models and computational methods to create predictive tools for hypothesis testing and physiology/biology exploration.
